How To Watch TV On Your Computer Now

Posted By on May 28, 2010

I canceled my cable subscription and now I get hundreds more satellite TV channels from around the world, right on my PC! I am saving over $1000 a year, and I am enjoying a far bigger selection of channels than I ever had with my cable company.

I was thinking about cancelling my cable in order to save money, but I was reluctant. Even though I don’t watch very much TV, I really love the shows I do watch, and sometimes I just really need to come home and plop down on the couch and flick on the tube and relax. I thought of going with a cheaper cable plan, but all the channels I like are on the higher tiers.

Its guaranteed cable companies separate the channels that way just so that we have to pay more. No two of the channels you really want to have are ever on the same tier. I think it would be more fair and much better on their pockets if they just charged a premium for the channels we wanted to choose. But alas that would be too easy.

I am happy to say, however, that I just got back from returning my cable box to the company and canceling my plan and I feel great! Instead of paying around $90 a month for a service that is sitting unused the vast majority of the time, I now can watch high quality, streaming satellite TV on my PC whenever I want, with no monthly fees, no service interruptions, and with over 2,000 channels to choose from! I can even take it with me anywhere I go because I also have it installed on my laptop (it even works internationally)!

All I did was buy this one software program for less then $60 and I can watch as much or as little as I want whenever. I don worry about bills anymore, or paying for some channel I didn’t want anyway. No tv-tuner card or special hardware required.
